What is Bongiovi DPS?
Bongiovi DPS is a patented audio processing algorithm that re-masters audio in real time. It works by creating an audio signal that is optimized for the desired application.
An optimized audio signal is easier to hear, easier for an amplifier to reproduce and results in a better overall listening experience.

The Bongiovi DPS audio effect is achieved through the unique application of Automatic Gain Control (AGC). The patented Bongiovi AGCs react to the audio signal to conform it to the specifications of the audio system application. The AGCs are combined with a studio quality 12 band parametric equalizer that can radically shape the audio. This allows the OEM/ODM to fully optimize the sound for the needs of their customer while keeping audio hardware costs (amplifiers and speakers) to a minimum.
All of the settings that customize DPS for a particular application are stored in a data set called a DPS Profile.
The DPS Profile Creator software gives the audio engineer full access to all audio adjustment parameters within the DPS algorithm. The Profile Creator is compatible with all platforms supported by DPS with the exception of Analog Devices and ON Semiconductor dsp chips.
