Medical Applications

MDPS is the medical grade version of DPS. It utilizes the powerful DPS algorithms for Medical applications in a package that is recognized by the FDA.

MDPS is an FDA Class I listed Medical Device Data System in compliance with FDA Quality Regulations 21 CFR 820.

Bongiovi Medical is currently working with leading institutions in IRB approved studies investigating and validating the utility of MDPS in clinical applications.

MDPS is the ONLY audio process solution that is FDA listed. MDPS is available for a variety of products and platforms making it a flexible and easy to manage solution for improving audio.

Telemedicine

MDPS is capable of improving audio for both voice communication and auscultation, making it a great solution for telemedicine. MDPS is currently available as a Zero Footprint (Javascript) SDK for implementation into most modern telemedicine systems.

Critical Communication Systems

MDPS has been shown to increase speech intelligibility for critical communication systems. In extreme noise environments, MDPS can process and improve the human perception of speech to improve the listener’s ability to hear and understand it.

The MDPS algorithm is currently deployed in the In-Touch RP-Vita telepresence robot to improve speech intelligibility in noisy hospital environments.

Translation and Transcription

It can be difficult to hear and understand every word spoken by a person, especially over some voice communication systems. Intellispeech can increase the efficiency of translation and Transcription by enhancing the speech intelligibility of recordings and live audio, reducing the need for repetitive listening.

Auscultation

MDPS may enhance clinically significant biological sounds that are currently not heard or used by clinicians today. Some conditions sound alike or are masked by certain regions of the frequency spectrum. Bongiovi and leading institutions are researching the utility of MDPS to help clinicians better differentiate between conditions.

New Diagnostic Systems

MDPS is a key part of ongoing research into new diagnostic systems. These systems will help the clinician screen for or diagnose a number of conditions. Studies are ongoing or in the planning process for cardiac conditions, pulmonary conditions, dysphagia, and much more.
